Project overview
Our vision was to carefully enhance and augment this exceptional whisky through a meticulously crafted set of ingredients, resulting in an unforgettable flavour journey that harmoniously blended luxury, seasonal ambiance, and the unmistakable essence of Scotland. Our cocktail creation was an exploration of multi-sensorial experience and the power of expectation in constructing flavour perceptions. We aimed to defy traditional norms of whisky cocktail presentation by infusing playful components while treating the liquid with the utmost care and attention. Drawing inspiration from the autumnal characteristics of The Singleton 40yo and the rich Ron Zacapa barrels in which it is finished, the theatrics around the serve paid homage to the escapist qualities of flavour. The goal was to transport guests to an immersive wonderland, engaging each of their five senses through carefully orchestrated cues. To evoke a nostalgic sensation through sound, Grace Jones's "Autumn Leaves" played in the background. The cocktail presentation itself included an aromatic vapour, reminiscent of a forest floor covered in autumn leaves, triggering a transportive experience for our sense of smell. Adding a touch of glamour to the affair, the cocktail was served over a hand-carved disco ball ice cube in a luxury crystal vessel, ensuring that The Singleton not only started the party but did so with a blend of sensory delights. This bespoke experience at Maison Colbert was a testament to our commitment to pushing the boundaries of bartending and creating unforgettable moments for discerning patrons.
